Password Generator

A strong random password, made on your device — length and character sets in, password out.

How it works

Password = random characters from the sets you chose
Strength ≈ length × log2(characters available)
Example: 16 chars from 94 symbols ≈ 105 bits

Worked example: with all four sets chosen, the pool has 26 + 26 + 10 + 32 = 94 characters. A 16-character password from that pool has about 16 × log2(94) ≈ 105 bits of entropy, which is far beyond what a guessed password can reach.

Frequently asked questions

Is my password sent anywhere?

No. It is generated in your browser with a cryptographic random source and never leaves the page. Nothing is stored, and closing the page discards it.

How long should a password be?

Sixteen characters or more from all four sets is a solid default. Length matters more than clever substitutions — a longer plain password beats a short tricky one.

Can I use the same password everywhere?

No. Reusing one password means one leak opens every account that shares it. Generate a different password for each account and keep them in a password manager.

What if a site rejects symbols?

Untick the symbols box and generate again. The password is still strong if it is long enough, and it will then fit sites that only accept letters and digits.
